Gibson
May 25th, 1859 -- Another thunderstorm, rained all night, concluded to go a hunting, saw 17 antelopes, very shy, couldn't get near them, some of the boys saw a couple of hares, or Jack-ass rabbits as we are in the habit of calling them, got in hungry and tired and just in time to save ourselves from being drenched to the skin again.
Powell
Travelled ten miles. We had rain this morning. Gibson started a hunting in the midst. Mr. Burky got alkalied to day.
